Dedicated to Family

I made the decision in 2015 to make the move to Lewiston. Together, my husband Rockey and I enjoy getting to experience all that the area has to offer alongside our 9 children and 19 grandchildren (so far). From camping in the Nez Perce National Forest to fishing the Clearwater River, we cannot think of a more diverse and amazing area to call home.

Property Taxes

Like every other Idaho homeowner, one of my main concerns is the dramatic increases being seen in property taxes. For years we have watched the bulk of property taxes being used as a legislative football, with lobbyists spending millions to continue to shift the bulk of the responsibility to homeowners. This equates to homeowners being forced to permanently rent their property from the government and I believe this status quo is unacceptable.

While the Idaho Legislature argues who should be paying property taxes, other conservative states are making moves to eliminate them altogether. I have been researching the plans in these other States and I believe that we need to put Idaho on a trajectory of property tax elimination. Through a combination of a rising homestead exemption and budgeting constraints, I believe that we can free up Idaho homeowners from the onerous burden of property taxes all while funding the services we rely on as well as education.

As an Unapologetic Conservative, I believe that...

- Our Country was founded on Christian values, and it is my duty to defend the Constitution according to those values

- As per the First Amendment, there should be NO LAWS that infringe upon the right to Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, and the Right to Freely Assemble

- Every American has the right to Bear Arms and I will fiercely defend the Second Amendment and ensure that right shall NOT be infringed

- Fiscal Conservatism is not just a talking point, but a way of life. As a TRUE Fiscal Conservative, I will actively fight for a balanced budget and will actively work to cut government spending

- Our public education system is failing our children. Common Core, CRT, and other distractions do NOT belong in the classroom. Our schools need to return to pre Department of Education priorities and parents should be at the core the conversation.

- Life begins at conception and it is the duty of a moral society to protect the unborn as well as women and children

- We are all entitled to Medical Freedom and autonomy. This includes informed patient consent and the right of physicians to exercise clinical judgement without governmental interference.
